Massage Therapy and Structural Bodywork

If you suffer with chronic neck, back, joint, or foot pain that isn’t responding to treatment, you may not be addressing the underlying cause of your discomfort. Using postural assessment, structural bodywork, and targeted massage therapy, Jennifer will work together with you to explore how your body got to where it is today and take corrective measures to keep you moving forward. Massage Services

Postural Assessment

Sessions begin with a simple idea: symmetry equals comfort. Jennifer will do a thorough intake, assess soft tissue restrictions that create joint dysfunction (and pain), and see how standing, sitting, and non-weight bearing positions impact alignment. She may also ask to observe you walking or running based on your activities.
Structural Bodywork

After the intake and assessment of posture and alignment, Jennifer conducts a series of gentle contract-relax techniques (known as Muscle Energy Technique) while you are fully clothed. This therapeutic bodywork helps to release soft tissue restrictions that may keep joints from working properly and limit their range of motion.
Targeted Massage

Once joint restrictions have been corrected (nothing will be “cracked”), Jennifer will do targeted massage to release contracted tissues that have contributed to your misalignment and pain. She may also help you recognize what activities lead to your pain and teach you proper posture, stretches, and exercises to help maintain the new alignment.

In-Clinic Services/Bodywork

30-Minutes ($65)
60-Minutes ($135)
90-Minutes ($195)
120-Minutes ($260)

Sliding scale is available. Please inquire when you schedule.

All fees are payable by cash, check, Venmo or credit card and are due when services are rendered. Services may be paid for from a health savings account, but it is rare for clients to get fully reimbursed from insurance. Jennifer does not take insurance.

24-hours notice of cancellation is required to avoid being charged the full fee for a missed appointment.

Offsite (Local) Services

Ergonomics Consult ($135/hr)
Have Jennifer come to your home or office to assist you or your employees in optimizing work space(s) for ergonomics. A $30 fee will be added to consults requiring more than 15 minutes travel.

Car Seat Adjustment ($35)
How many of us have pain after spending a long time in the car? Some of this pain can be avoided by having Jennifer check your car seat settings to ensure good ergonomics when you drive.

Wellness Talk ($135/hr)
Have Jennifer come talk about how our daily lives, diet, toxic exposure, movement patterns and history impact alignment and pain at your office or small group.
